01 / Product story

Six clear profiles. One easy place to begin.

Meet six distinct Yunnan Pu-erh profiles without committing to a full cake. The Grand Yunnan Pu-erh Discovery Set brings together three raw teas and three ripe teas in clearly labelled 10 g servings, making it easy to taste, compare and remember what you enjoy.

A beginner-friendly way to explore Pu-erh

Choosing a first Pu-erh can feel complicated: raw or ripe, soft or structured, floral or deeply aged. This set removes that first decision. Brew the six teas at your own pace, compare their flavours side by side and use the names on each sachet to identify the profile you want to explore next.

Six teas, individually labelled

Raw Pu-erh

  • Jingmai — 2012 Jingmai Mountain: orchid fragrance, clear sweetness, fine texture and a soft, persistent finish.
  • Langyue — 2011 Graceful Brightness: integrated smoky and honeyed notes with a deep, smooth body.
  • Yunwang — 2010 Yiwu King: honeyed depth, soft sweetness and layered mountain character.

Ripe Pu-erh

  • Qitunshanhe — 2018 Mountain Majesty: glutinous sweetness, clean warmth, a rounded body and bright red liquor.
  • Gushuchenxiang — 2015 Chenxiang: pure aged aroma, dense silky texture and soft glutinous sweetness.
  • Guseguxiang — 2019 Antique Charm: clean aged aroma, balanced sweetness and an easy, rounded finish.

Each sachet is named and the included flavour guide makes it simple to record a favourite. Five profiles currently link directly to their matching full cakes; Jingmai Mountain is presented here as a dedicated tasting selection.

Taste first, choose with confidence

Raw and ripe Pu-erh develop in very different directions. Tasting both styles in one set helps you discover whether you prefer the floral, layered character of raw Pu-erh, the smooth warmth of ripe Pu-erh, or a little of each. It is a practical first purchase for new drinkers and a thoughtful gift for anyone beginning to explore Pu-erh.

What is included

  • 3 raw Pu-erh samples and 3 ripe Pu-erh samples
  • 6 individually labelled sachets, 10 g each
  • 60 g total net weight
  • A printed flavour guide for all six teas
  • A presentation box suitable for gifting or guided tasting

How to brew

Use one 10 g sachet with about 150 ml of water at 95–100°C. Rinse briefly if desired, then begin with an 8–12 second infusion and adjust the time to taste. The same leaves can be steeped repeatedly, allowing each tea to reveal how its aroma, texture and sweetness change across infusions.
