This 2015 Aged Aroma Ripe Pu-erh Tea is made from spring leaves of ancient large-leaf tea trees grown in the high-elevation tea gardens of Bulang Mountain, Yunnan. Processed through traditional off-ground pile fermentation, it preserves the distinctive character of Bulang Mountain ripe pu-erh: thick yet clean, sweet yet powerful.
The tea liquor is dense, silky, and full-bodied, with layered notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and a soft glutinous rice-like sweetness. The first sip is mellow and rounded, followed by a gentle wild mountain bitterness that transforms quickly into a deep, clean sweetness.
