01 / Product story

Amazing Taiwan Oolong Tea

Warm, rounded and aromatic, Dong Ding Oolong offers a satisfying balance of comforting roasted notes and delicate floral character. Its tightly rolled leaves gradually unfurl during brewing, releasing a golden infusion with a mellow texture and a lingering sweetness.

The flavor opens with notes of toasted nuts, followed by gentle floral undertones and a subtle sweetness reminiscent of caramel. The roasted character adds depth while allowing the softer qualities of the tea to come through. Each sip finishes smoothly, leaving a pleasant aroma and a sweet aftertaste that invites another cup.

Part of the pleasure of drinking Dong Ding Oolong is following its flavor through successive infusions. Earlier brews bring the warm, toasty notes forward, while later infusions reveal a softer character, with floral nuances and a clean, mellow finish. Brewing the leaves several times lets you explore these changes at your own pace.

This is an inviting choice for tea drinkers who enjoy depth of flavor with a gentle finish. Serve it on its own to appreciate its aroma, or pair it with lightly sweet pastries, nuts or simple savory snacks. Whether prepared in a small gaiwan for a focused tea session or in a teapot for an afternoon break, it makes an enjoyable addition to your daily tea routine.

How to Brew

For gongfu brewing, use approximately 5–6 g of tea per 100–120 ml of water at 90–95°C. Start with an infusion of 20–30 seconds, then gradually extend the steeping time for subsequent brews. Leave enough room for the rolled leaves to expand, and pour out each infusion completely.

For a larger teapot or mug, use approximately 3 g per 250 ml of water and steep for 2–3 minutes. Adjust the amount of tea and brewing time to suit your taste. Shorter infusions emphasize a lighter, more aromatic cup, while longer infusions produce a fuller flavor.

How to Store

Keep the tea in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong odors. Reseal the packaging promptly after each use to help preserve its aroma and freshness.
