Cha Shang Cha is a 357 g raw pu-erh cake pressed in 2018 from Bulang Mountain material that had been stored since 2003.

Origin and material

The long period of pre-pressing maturation gives the tea a substantial foundation and a composed expression while retaining the strength associated with Bulang tea.

How it tastes

The liquor is fine-textured, warm and layered. Time has rounded the sharper edges, and returning sweetness remains steady across later infusions.

Brewing guide

  • Water: 95–100°C
  • Tea: 8–10 g per 500 ml
  • First infusion: 8–12 seconds, then adjust
  • Shorten or extend later infusions to suit the leaf and your taste.
