Lao Man’e strength, in a sweeter register.

Wukong is a compact 200 g raw pu-erh cake pressed in 2016 from Lao Man’e Tiancha, the village’s sweeter-profile material.

Origin and material

The tea comes from Lao Man’e in the Bulang Mountain area of Yunnan. Compared with the village’s more intensely bitter material, this sweet-variety selection keeps Lao Man’e structure while presenting a gentler bitter foundation.

How it tastes

The liquor is full and layered. Bitterness is present but softens quickly, followed by returning sweetness and a persistent finish.

Brewing guide

  • Water: 95–100°C
  • Tea: 8–10 g per 500 ml
  • First infusion: 8–12 seconds, then adjust
  • Shorten or extend later infusions to suit the leaf and your taste.
